I'm unloading a few of my favorite oddball basses and amps, Including a great Vintage Eb3-L long scale Gibson and a super-rare Long Scale USA Fender Deluxe Bullet Tele Bass. Needless to say, you are taking home a stray, and this guitar is very as-is. If you met this bass in a bar, it would be leaning on the jukebox, swaying on twiggy, strung out legs, trying to light a cigarette with too shaky hands while not spilling an 8am screwdriver. While I can attest to the musical qualities of the bass, it is in every other respect, a complete and utter tragedy, having suffered every possible indignity visitable upon a guitar. All of the controls work, the guitar holds a fantastic tune and the action is low, fast, and buttery. The bass plays awesome, and the tone is outstanding.
The good news is that as a result of these decades of dissipation and abuse, this guitar has acquired the gravelly, bar-room voice and countenance of a grizzled old hand.
While all of those other basses spent the 70's hiding under dorm-room beds, this one was out in the world, living hard the rock and roll life, and it would appear, generally behaving badly.
